What to Expect:

Your care starts with a thorough consultation to understand your health history, current concerns, and health goals. Every aspect of your treatment is tailored to address your specific needs and challenges.

From there, you’ll receive a personalized plan that will outline clear steps to take. This may include acupuncture, lab recommendations, herbal and supplement recommendations, dietary and lifestyle changes, and therapies designed to help you meet your goals. The plan will be adjusted as progress is made or as new challenges arise.

Implementing changes can feel overwhelming at times, but this process is designed to provide clear, actionable steps with measurable goals so that you are successful in achieving results, whether that is to improve period pain or grow your family.

FAQs

  • Acupuncture supports a wide range of reproductive, hormonal, and whole-body wellness concerns. Common reasons clients seek care include fertility challenges (such as IVF support, irregular cycles, diminished ovarian reserve, and unexplained infertility), menstrual issues, perimenopause symptoms, hormone imbalances, digestive issues, chronic stress, and pregnancy or postpartum support.

  • No referral is necessary to begin care. Many of my clients choose to incorporate acupuncture alongside care from their OB/GYN, reproductive endocrinologist, or primary care provider. I’m happy to collaborate with your existing care team to ensure a fully integrated approach.

  • The number of sessions depends on your individual goals, health history, and how your body responds to treatment. For fertility and hormone concerns, most clients start with weekly sessions for several months. We’ll regularly reassess your progress and adjust your plan as needed to support your specific journey.

  • Your first visit includes a comprehensive consultation where we’ll review your full health history, current symptoms, and wellness goals. You’ll receive your first acupuncture treatment and we’ll begin creating a personalized plan, which may include additional therapies like nutrition, functional lab testing, supplements, or lifestyle recommendations.

  • Yes. Acupuncture is widely used to support fertility and is safe during both the trying-to-conceive phase and throughout pregnancy. Treatments are always customized to your stage and needs to help optimize outcomes and promote a healthy pregnancy.

  • Not at all. While fertility is a core focus of my practice, many clients also come for support with hormonal imbalances, digestive issues, perimenopause, stress, pain, and overall wellness. Each treatment plan is fully customized to meet your unique needs.

  • Hands-on acupuncture sessions are offered in person at my San Diego office. However, many clients also benefit from virtual functional medicine consultations, coaching, and customized fertility lab reviews if appropriate for your care plan.
